We are so proud of our history and people, and we are introducing a new section for each newsletter called ‘Friends of the Corporate Cup’. This week we profile Chris Legge, who first started the Corporate Cup in 1985 with Elders.

Chris continued to recruit work teams including Bank SA and Workcover, and retired in 2008. Since then, Chris has been running as an individual. A daily exerciser, Chris loves the Corporate Cup as it has “always encouraged team camaraderie, promotes wellbeing, strengthened relationships and I just enjoy the competitive spirit of the Corporate Cup.”

“I love the beautiful environment to run around the Torrens.” Chris outlined that over the past 38 years, a few highlights include “winning at least one most improved team, and I enjoyed the coaching/mentoring of a Workcover ladies team called ‘the Cover girls’, who won the fastest ladies team a few times- that was great fun.”

Chris believes it is absolutely essential to keep fit, and said “The Corporate Cup helps keep me young- running away from old age”.

Chris, you show great Corporate Cup spirit. Well done!
