Tracking KMs
KM Tracker is a category where runners and walkers aim to build up as many kms as possible during the rounds, anywhere and anytime you like! You may choose to run once a fortnight like the traditional Corporate Cup, or you can incorporate additional runs – it’s up to you!
The KMs must have a start and finish point i.e. you cannot use the kms of your daily step count. KMs must also be tracked on foot – you cannot ride, scooter, rollerblade etc. Treadmills do not count unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from walking/running outside.
KM Tracker can be blended in with your current activity. For example, if you walk a dog, walk to work or umpire sport on the weekend, simply have your GPS device on you and track those KMs from start to finish of your activity!
Timing cards are not used for this category. Participants will need an app or smartwatch to track your KMs while you are on your walk/run, then upload a screenshot to the Corporate Cup portal. There is no need to purchase an app, you can simply use free options such as Samsung Health app, Google Fit, MapMyWalk, MapMyRun or Strava. The app needs to be able to record the distance, time and route (with a visual map) of your walk or run.
Corporate Cup Portal
The Corporate Cup portal is your one stop shop for uploading your KMs (more on this below), team results, leader boards and achievement tracking.
Click the button below and make sure you are able to log in prior to Round 1. You do not need to create a new account as it is automatically created when you were registered into a team – however, you must use the email address your team captain registered you with.
If you cannot remember your password from last year, or haven’t set one yet, click ‘login’ then ‘trouble signing in’ to reset your password – as it is an automatic email, it may pop up in your junk/spam folder. Some work emails do block these automatic emails, so call us on 8363 5700 if you can’t find the email after 1 hour. You can log into your profile here.
How Do I Upload My KMs?
Log in to the Corporate Cup portal by visiting the Corporate Cup website or clicking here.
Once you are in, click the ‘Upload KMs’ on the top menu bar (this doesn’t show on your profile at the moment, but will once round 1 starts).
The details you will need to input include:
- Distance
- Date
- Duration of exercise
- Evidence (screenshot of how you tracked your KMs showing the distance, time and route of the activity. If you completed multiple runs/walks on one day you will upload the total and include a screenshot of all activities.)
For how to take screenshots on iPhones click here and for Android phones click here.
If you accidentally input the wrong distance (e.g. 52km instead of 5.2km), it’s as easy as resubmitted the upload for that day – you can only have one entry for each day so the new upload will override the original, incorrect one.
When To Upload KMs
All participants will be given the ability to upload results from Wednesday 30th July.
We encourage you to upload your KMs from each day as you go. Keep in mind that you can only upload one log per day, so if you do multiple walks/runs per day (e.g. morning, lunch and after work), you will need to add the total distances and times together and log them as one upload for that day – if you upload KMs for a date you have already logged, the new upload will override the original.
After the round is finished, you have until the end of that week to upload any KMs you may have forgotten. For example, Round 1 finishes at 11:59pm Tues 12th August, so you can upload any round 1 KMs until Sunday 17th August. Once the round is closed, there is no way to upload KMs for that round.
KM Tracker Round Dates
We listened to feedback from last year, and have adjusted the KM Tracker rounds to align with the CBD events.
Track your KMs anytime (12am-11.59pm) between the fortnightly rounds:
Round 1 – July 30 to August 12
Round 2 – August 13 to August 26
Round 3 – August 27 to September 9
Round 4 – September 10 to September 23
Round 5 – September 24 to October 7
Round 6 – October 8 to October 21
Targets and Achievements
Each round, there are 4 target categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum (a new, super target for 2025). Teams can work together to try and reach the team target. If you registered as an individual, your targets are adjusted to reflect that you don’t have team members. Certificates will be sent once the uploads close for that round for the target you reach.
Each round the minimum kms change for each category. Targets will be emailed to you at the start of each round.
The targets for Round 1 are:
BRONZE: Individuals – 2km | Teams – 10km
SILVER: Individuals – 10km | Teams – 50km
GOLD: Individuals – 40km | Teams – 250km
PLATINUM: Individuals – 50km | Teams – 500km
In 2025, we are encouraging teams to virtually follow the Nedd Brockmann trail from Perth’s Cottesloe Beach to Sydney’s Bondi Beach via the Nullabor. The challenge has been set; how far will your team get? Good luck!
FAQs
Can I participate at one of the Corporate Cup locations?
Yes – it would be great to see you onsite! However, you will still need to record your own walk/run as you don’t have a timing card. We have onsite locations in CBD and Mawson Lakes – check our website for days and times we are there.
How do we win?
Check out the Results Breakdown page on our website
I accidentally uploaded the wrong distance – what do I do?
If you upload KMs for a date you have already submitted, it will override your previous entry. So, you just need to reupload the correct KMs for that date.
